CAPTAIN AMERICA got new armor! He's CHIMNEY-KICKIN' happy about it, too!
SPIDER-MAN got new armor! It's always best to hire a PROFESSIONAL to tile the bathroom floor!!
BATMAN got new armor!! ROBIN didn't - that's why he's DEAD!!

I have to admit I kind of like it and nice job and getting all those covers/armor together.
You forgot the Thor armor from his brittle bones curse period. Full helm with bushy beard and everything...
This was more of a tongue-in-cheek look at bad/inappropriate armoring choices. The Armor your talking about was neither bad nor inappropriate, and may well make a future "Greatest costume changes Ever" article. Or not.

Not a lot of people know that Doctor Strange had armor for a little while too.
(He had to whip up a new power source after splitting himself into 3 entities and tossing all his old "powers" out the window. Yeah, I know. It was...complicated.)
Anyway, his physical form started to deteriorate and he had a big battle with an ancient evil she-sorcerer ahead of him (Salome, one of Earth's 1st Sorcerer Supremes), so he needed an edge.
Thus, he whipped up mystical armor in order to keep his bod in one piece.
