Fat, lazy, drunken Wolverine may be the best Wolverine of all. As seen in 1999's Earth X #5, Wolverine and Jean got together and eventually turned into The Lockhorns. According to the text piece following the story, Jean Grey and all of the other telepaths have lost their powers, so shes stuck rolling her eyes at the 181st retelling of the time the old gasbag fought the Hulk.Earth X was a decent series that crawled up its own arse and birthed a whole franchise of sequels that I couldn't keep up with, Universe X, followed by Paradise X with a whole bunch of spinoffs as I recall. I'm not sure if I want to know what became of the battling X-Bickersons in the increasingly convoluted saga, but if you know, please share in the comments!

Jean left him before the end of the series and told him she was really Madelyne Pryor, Jean's clone
Earth X is Rock, sir.
Although DC is more famous for its multiverse, I'd like to see someone create a catalog of Marvel's various universes. They have a lot more than I would have expected. 2099-verse, Ultimate universe, MC2 universe, Earth X, etc.
RE: Madelyne Pryor:
Ugh. See, crap like that is exactly why I don't read X-men comics anymore.
Hmm. In the second image, Logan looks a bit like Londo Mollari...
time to revisit the old Earth X trade ...
And, of course, his hair looks worse than ever.
I loved Earth X... and it makes sense that she's not Jean. All the telepaths didn't lose their powers - they died. It's spelled out elsewhere in the series, hence no Prof X.
Thus, since she can't be Jean, she's Madelyne.
If Logan has this instant healing power, how then does he get drunk?
Michael Jones, you've been watching to much of that filth called Heroes :D
Wolverine is to badass not to get drunk...
He gets drunk for like a minute, and then sobers up thanks to the healing factor. So to avoid instant hangover he needs to drink a lot, really fast.
There is a Marvel Universes compendium at "The Appendix to the Handbook of the Marvel Universe" webpage.

Actually I've only seen the first 2 Seasons of Heroes so I don't know what you're referring to. But I agree that he is badass enough to remain drunk.
Just more to add. In one of the series (I don't remember which), the "Days of Future Past" Wolverine is saved at the very last instant moment of death and is transported to the Earth X universe. The two alternate Wolverines meet where the "Days of Futures Past" tells Lazy Wolverine that he was not a mutant at all. Basically all humans were "mutants" and wolverine was really the last of the original (non-mutated) human, which in its natural state can live a long time and heal itself. The story leading up to this is very convoluted and I don't have the time to get into it. But at the end Lazy Wolverine goes back into the wild.
Wow.
Just...Wow.
Nando, the two met in Paradise X: Heralds, but I don't recall reading that explanation.
Sasquatch and the head of Guardian did come across a tribe of feral Wolverines after Mr Church's armies destroyed the Canadian Torch though...
Well, since this thread is revived, I need to point out that it really is Jean, and that she told Lazy Logan that she was Madeline "just to snickt it to him" - it was in Heralds / Paradise X.
Not that it alleviates the disappointment at all....
