There's also a beautiful dutch poem by famous (at least in the Netherlands) poet Jan Hanlo called 'Wij komen ter wereld', which tells of lives lived backwards.
It starts something like 'we enter the world, mourning, from graves...', and later mentions, among other things: 'The healing bullet, sought after by guns' and 'the schools take care of learning to forget'. If this sound awkward, blame my translation.

Just bought 'Alan Moore's Complete Future Shocks', which is very funny. Great post.

Also done in Martin Amis' TIME'S ARROW and the Backwards episode of RED DWARF (which was the funniest iteration). The problem with the premise is as Alan Moore shows, you can do it in FOUR PAGES and you say the same things that, for example, the screenwriter of BENJAMIN BUTTON take 2 1/2 hours to say.
